Dear Father

 Dear Father, 

Who lives within me and beyond me

I praise you

For the mercy you’ve shown me

I praise you 

For the life you’ve given me.

And I ask you to show me 

Your kingdom

Free of want

Cleaned of all desire

Except the desire that your will be done

I thank you for all you give me

The food I eat

The things I drink

The soft comforts of my life in this body.

But I ask that you 

Please keep me from becoming too attached

To things

While remaining thankful for what I have.

Hosanna, hosanna,

Have pity and forgive my weaknesses

As I strive to forgive the weakness of others

Please dear Lord,

Inspire me to Steer clear of 

Those things that may cause others to hurt

Delivering me from the evil

Of pride

For yours is the kingdom and power

For now and forever
