Easter Prayer

Thank you Lord

For the rebirth and life possible

Through the Easter miracle. 

We come to you this day

Fragmented by sin and 

And leave made whole again

Ready to start anew.

Hallelujah 

Hosannah

Praise to you Lord.

Amen 

Prayer for the doubtful mind

Prayer for the doubtful mind

While I understand sin 

As the lack of connection to You

in thought or action

There are things about this world

I don't understand, Lord.

I don’t understand pain and suffering. 

As many times as I've heard it explained

By preacher or theologian

It always rings empty. 

Starvation makes no sense to me 

Houses torn apart by tornadoes

Make no sense.

War makes no sense.

Disabilities make no sense.

We call them tests of faith,

But sometimes I question 

The severity of these tests.

One one hand, I know I am a frail man,

Who am I to question you,

But still I question.

I look to you, sovereign Lord,

For a solution 

We are told to learn from our mistakes

We are told to make strength from weakness

Please, Lord, give us strength

Give us clarity in chaos 

Give peace to not question

The trials we have to face.

Give us the conviction 

To push away doubt.

Bless us Lord

For the gifts we receive

Even when those gifts come

Shrouded by a veil of difficulties.

Prayer of Thanks

 Prayer of Thanks

I have prayed for strength

And You have given strength.

I have prayed for healing, 

And you have healed.

We have made it through this day

From before sunrise to

Long past the sunset.

We have watched rain

Grow from a a gentle sprinkling 

to a storm full of howling winds

Blowing the rain sideways

Beating into the windows.
We have watched the clouds

Break apart and show the sun

standing strong, a symbol of love,

Positivity, and joy above us.

It has renewed our hope.
And we have watched the sun
Drift slowly behind the trees

Along the skyline. The sky turning

Pink and red as it drifts to black again.

Thank you, Lord for guiding us 

Allowing us another day together.

I give thanks for the spirit that guides 

I give thanks for putting me here, now, 

In this bleak situation. While I pray it will end.

Thank you for making me a useful servant.

I have prayed for strength

And You have given strength.

I have prayed for healing, 

And you have healed.

Save us, Lord!

We bow down before you

Humbled by our need.

Hosanna, hosanna, 

Save us from ourselves

Dear Lord of all,

Creator of heaven and earth.

The earthly kings forsake us.

They do not care for any

Prosperity but their own.

Our elderly shrink under their might.

Our least begin to lose hope. 

Hosanna, hosanna,

Save us, dear heavenly Father,

Lord of all 

We give you thanks

And praise.
